Just an FYI, when i was at John getting the service and brake flush done, i enquired about the M badge at parts, the service guy told me that you cant order the M logo for your car unless its a ///M, apparently BMW SA are very finicky about putting these ///M badges on a non ///M car.......use it dont use it.

Absolutely correct , I had to give my E30s VIN number in to get replacement badges for the front and back , Only after I gave them the VIn and BMW SA did some check did they allow the part to be sent over . ( WHen I asked them to tell my why they think my cars a 2 door when its actually a sedan ) they had no answer for me haha.

I don't know how effective this procedure is , Does not seem to stop people from buying the badges through other ways and sticking them on their cars.
