Day started off great... got there between 7am and 8:30am as asked.

Booked the vehicle in to have the ffg done:
• replace front indicator globe
• Check/Re-gas aircon
• Pick up my spare Key
• Diagnose the 'squeal' when turning right.

Dropped off at work - picked up after 4pm and was at the dealership at around 4:30pm.

Ushered to the waiting area and thats when everything went 'Ape Shit'.

5pm: not attended to
5:30pm: still not attended to i'm told that the service manager will chat to me about the long wait
6pm: Get word that the aircon is being re-gas'd and car washed
6:30pm: Finally my vehicle appears "apologies for the wait"

I drive off with no smile on my face after an almost 2 hour wait.
At no point does the Service Manager ever come over to apologise or even let me know why i am still waiting or what the progress is with my car.

Its apparent to me that they only started working on my vehicle when i had arrived at the dealership...
At no point was i shown a job card for the work done...

Service... pfffft what service? :=):

Yeah also have a bit of a gripe with theses guys

Purchased my car from them they gave me a great deal really

I took delivery of car traded in my old 323i

A month later I get a fine for my 323i for R500.00 the date of offence was after I took delvery of my new car

Called the sales guy told him what happened he was very appologetic

F**Kers still havn't paid me back chasing them daily for over 2 months now

Did a certain member on this forum not warn guys about Lyndhurst Auto???

I am sure I did :):)

My dads car needs a service, and we need to decide where to take it as Lyndhurst is crap, but its 1km from our house & 1.5Km from my dads office, so its convenient.. BUT with their crap service it makes it not as convienient

In the early days they were exceptional.I noticed as they grew and grew, there service in all departments just went down. The last time i serviced with them was about two years ago.

Car just came back from a service, took it around the corner and it was giving me all sorts of codes and cutting power.Ofcourse i didnt know at that time but it was the hpfp. They told me that it was an injector problem. So it took a week and collected it,drove home, same issue again.Had it towed back and it took them another week to sort that out..Had a long chat to the service manager,he apologised... Jumped into my car and found something broken.Didnt bother to go back inside because i probably would have come back out in handcuffs:argh: That was the last time i ever went there..

Now my question is did they actually fix all the problems? (apart from the paintwork that is probably now ruined due to their wash)

My mom had the same experiance with this dealer.
Was told to pick up the car only to wait...

Left the dealer and the car still made the same sound coming from the RHS rear wheel.
Took the car back, they said it was the diff, and replaced it.
Drove the car and after two days the same sound is to be heard.
Once again she took the car back, was there for three days only to be told that the rim is buckeld which is causing this problem.
Off I went to TWT to have the wheels checked, and no signs of any rims buckled.
Also, they never showed her any of the job cards.

Only reason she takes the car there is because it is very convenient, near home and office.

Everytime we get the car back, there is grease on the interior panels.

There service is unacceptable!

P.S, took my car there before this whole saga to get a quote on replacing my gearbox oil, they give me the printout and quote me for the wrong oil. I told the guy it's the wrong oil but he insisted that's the oil they use in there ///M cars.

I have only had the best top quality service from Clearwater BMW :=):

They do my car Formula 1 (while you wait) and as soon as its finished im off again

They keep me up to date while im sitting there and even call me if i stroll off to walk around the shopping centre etc

And when the 335 had the HPFP done etc etc they gave me a 118i courtesy car for the day so i could pick my daughter up from school etc

The techys all come and chat with me and even tell me to come to the workshop and they will explain what they are gonna do etc

Hope i never get k@k service from the dealers cos that does my nut

I feel for you Onyx :sorry:
