So guys, i have been very bad at updating this thread immediately but I do have two weekends worth of maintenance so here I go...
Surprisingly on surface the car looked well maintained for a 24 year old, but what lurked underneath required some TLC, so before getting to the aesthetics I tackled the maintenance and preventative maintenance items.
All work was carried out by Nikhil and I lent a helping finger here and there but my gosh, it was a very frustrating evening trying to get things to open after being in place for 24 years...
First on the list was a clutch fluid flush and slave replacement - I seemed to be having a loss of pressure in the clutch now and then so we figured it would be good to get these items checked... Please don't be disgusted at the clutch fluid...
Before:
After some cleaning:
Next was the slave:
Control Arm bushes (This was a pain to get out):
The Old:
The New - Vice pressed:
This pretty much covered the first phase of maintenance.. In addition I fitted a new front lip, replaced the cracked fogs as well as got rid of the brittle cracked tow bar cover in some free time
Thanks to Nikhil, its been an epic learning experience working with him and his attention to detail is what made me feel at ease...
