Cars with that low mileage need a major service and through look over before driving them. There is a huge risk with stuff going wrong. I dont really see the point, other then to make money to have a car like that and never enjoy it.
You don't really "make" money like this, unless you're operating in the rare ferrari type level. If you took the R200k or so an E36M3 cost back in 95 and just tossed it into a JSE top40 tracker and looked at it today it'd be multiples of 600k that the mint M3 with 0 km on the clock is worth.
And that's before considering what you pay to insure, store etc. etc. the car.
Just on this, had a quick look.
Top40 was around 5000-6000 in 95, today it's about 50 000.
So your 200k would have been worth R2m today. Assuming you had paid 0 to store your M3, had paid 0 to insure and had managed to sell it today for R600k, you'd have lost R1.4m.
Realistically you'd be losing *much* more because you'd have to maintain, store, insure.
Basically, unless you have limitless funds (in which case you're not buying any BMW to speculate, perhaps a 507, Z8 or so) don't "invest" in a car.
