Looking for alternative to plastic clips

Haven't asked the local stealer how many arms and legs they want for these clips, but to be honest I don't like them at all and was wondering if there are alternatives?? I hate plastic clips of all kind as they never last. Only thing I hate more than plastic is cast iron.

No. 16.

Nic, I were surprized to see Midas of all places stock some of the plastic clips that you find on a BMW. Obviously not genuine, but good quality. They have them on a stand with yellow/orange labes (NOT the Eureka brand though)

Alternatively contact Skiffy.

That exact clip R3.75 each, I went and bought ten of them, just as well I bought two extra because I discovered these ones now explode going in....WTF? it used to only be whilst trying to remove them.

Also I challenge you to get even one of the 24 #2 clips off without breaking it lol

BMW are getting good at this and are now Pre-exploding them or something. This is the exact reason I might go buy another E30 because it's put together with real steel nuts, bolts and screws.

Where did you get them for R3.27?? The local stealer wants R5.07. I decided to get 10 as they have stock of the clips in Cape Town and it would solve my issue by tonight.

I've been looking at E30's again myself. Thinking of a nice 2 door 325i. They are so much simpler and such a joy. The 540 is great, brilliant even, but I'm constantly scared of breaking all sorts of plastic clips. It's ridiculous. It's why I haven't attempted to remove the old phone car kit. The real problem is that I won't be able let go of the E34 to make room for the E30 :) :)
