Went on my annual round trip up country last week. Travelled to Upington, Kimberley, Orania, Bloem, Kroonstad, Pta, Kempton, Durban, Bloem and back home (Hermanus) Did about 4500km and the best consumption was 16,12km/l going from Kempton to Durban. Worst was 13,7km/l from Klawer to Upington. The boys in blue were absent on the first section of the trip but coming back from Bloem they were hiding behind signboards and generally any place they can hide behind, sometimes with only the tripod visible if you are looking! Beaufort-West is notorious as well as Richmond in the Cape Province. Should mention that i only travel at the speed limit and must say that sticking to the limit it is quite relaxed to not having to worry about breaking the law and getting prosecuted.
