Locked key in e46 boot

Good day all

I know this has probably happened to some of you but, I've locked my car key in the boot of my car. Car was locked and I needed to get something out the boot so I only opened it. I must have put my key down inside the boot then I closed it.

My spare key is in another province.

Any ideas on how I can access the boot?

that the toughest thing on my e36... once its closed and you lock it by accident it is almost impossible to get in without a key!

Why does it say easiest & cheapest at the beginning of the video? :smashScreen:
I'd hate to damage my car in any way. Even a locksmith has me sceptical! That's why I'd rather wait for my spare key to be delivered.

Cringed my teeth seeing the way that car was treated.

That's ludicrous

Friends car was on motoplan, they charged him R400 I think, when I locked mine in the boot this year , i called my insurance , and wasn't charged anything. Funny enough, both BMW and my insurance sent the same locksmith guy! lol

There is absolutely no damage done to the car it's done in minuts, and so easily . I Was shocked. He electronically unlocks the boot kid catch and the lid pops open. The alarm is still active though so it still goes off when the boot is open .

The locksmith has these air jacks and gets access to electrical system and opens it in few minutes. No damage and not expensive. I know it happened to me when I had an E46. Nothing to worry about.:skit:

is this unique to only the E46
I seem to think that all the BM's I have had over the years are suffering the same problem
