Guys, help I’m kinda in a very sticky situation.
I removed a battery terminal at the boot yesterday just to reset my ECU left the trunk open, out of curiosity my wife closed it???. I have a 2014 F30 320i and it has non folding rear chairs, so no ski pass hole.
Help how do I access the emergency trunk release latch. ????
Desperate right now

Hi.

Is there a folding down armrest in your back seats?
If yes, there is a plastic cover on the seat after folding down the armrest, this can be pulled out from the top. Then you would need to cut away the carpet and then metal to basically make a ski pass.
You then reach in with something like a hanger and pull the boot release which is on the boot side from the inside.

This should work but takes some time

The fold down arm rest is there but there is a hard metal cover in my case.

Can't you provide power via the 'jump start' terminals in the engine bay?

I’m not sure if that will work because I removed one battery terminal.

You can try the jumping although a few people say it doesn’t work. Others say it does.

Or you can remove the rear seat to get access to the boot

Turns out I needed to jumped start the car via the hood, I was able to unlock the boot.

We back on the road
Ended up buying jumper cables though.

Thank for the feedback guys.

That’s great to hear. Glad you got back up and running. Next time thread a cloth through your boot lock latch. That way you can’t close it. :)

The car should have a hidden key hole for using the small
key, integrated into the remote, to open the boot?
