Lets talk Meth

Hi guys,

So my meth addition install is about the last thing I want to do till the power addiction kicks in again, lol! I currently have a full kit in the garage except the tank. ***I will not use a windscreen washer bottle***

what I am looking for is ideas on tanks, currently a fellow member has offered to let me use a spare tank, (Rep point coming your way buddy!) but I am also open to ideas and discussions on what has worked for other members...

so basically:
what tank shape and size?
how was it mounted?
where was the line tapped into it?

lets get posting...

If you are too follow Terry's advise. Make sure the pump gets gravity fed, to ensure constant flow, and as with all forms of plumbing. Try install it with as few joiners as possible. The more joiners you have, the greater the chance of it sucking in air.

Good luck with the install.

I would run the lines under the car rather than into the cabin... this will probably mean drilling a hole in the boot but least it will keep the fire out of the car

there is already a grommet that would allow the piping to come inside... so that's good...

what I am looking for is tank mount ideas...

Yip, there is a grommet under the taillights of the e92, that will allow you to run the line into the car, without needing to drill....only issue is, that its on the extremities of the rear of the car

I dont know wm systems, but on average how long would that size tank last given a progressive system is used, and youre making use of the power

I use a spare shelf as pictured in moranor's pics. I have the pump under the tank as part of the shelf too and all my wires are plug and play so I can remove the meth from the car in a few seconds. I have a spare shelf that I just put back.
The controllers sit under the carpet secured with velcro.
That size bottle does not last too long but I have never used a PWM system on my car, it just activates with boost.

pump is gravity fed and hidden :)

+1 on this install. Maybe mount the bottle against the back of the seat.

Same here. My system is also boost activated, but ive got a flow monitoring valve, which is hooked up via my JB, so i still have it showing via a gauge hi jack.

The one problem i have found with the boost activated method, is if you go too large on your injector, you will flood the intake, which causes misfires.

I activate the meth at between .7 and .8 bar which is quite late so don't have that issue. I find if I activate it earlier on the drag strip it slows first down quite a bit whilst the car is trying to get boost. With it high I see .9bar in first gear with it coming in sooner only about .7 so this makes a big difference to the 60ft.

some great information going on here....

thanks everyone! I guess with the system I am planning to use (BMS WW minus the WW tank) that changing the tank at a later stage wouldn't be such a schlep...

option 1 would be the tank offered to me,
option 2 is when the meth addiction kicks in I can get a bigger tank

Changing tanks as the need calls for it, is as simple as can be.
