LED lights, still got a problem

hey guys
ok so i installed the LED's that Andrew organised.

got a problem with the fogs, and it has nothing to do with the LED's
they not working, checked the fuses, checked the globs, still nothing, stuck a tester on the conection, there is continuity, the fuse box, checked the fuse, i think it was number 22, power is good, then checked number 5 (i think) and there was no power.
please help, any one know what demon has stolen my fog lights.

but here some pics of the lights and the mods to the fog light housing.

so slight mod to the housing, ripped out the light fitting, then let the drill do the talking with a nice medium sized grinding bit.
it took me me, and i kid you not, maybe 3 mins to grind a hole into the light fitting, that both of them

and bang they in, the best part, that even though i made a bigger hole, the original globes still fit perfectly.

here is the park lights in action.

as soon as i sort the fogs out, ill post the pics.
need to upgrade the rest of the lights now, thanks andrew, coz the LED's makes my silver stars look dirty and old.

Awesome man, looks great. I have the same problem as my parks also make the silverstars look dull.

If I was keeping the E36 I would have kept the fogs & done the mod..

At least you STD bulbs still fit as you can then pop them back if you sell the car.

Glad you happy with them.

I wonder what could be the problem with the fog lights, u sure the switch is working properly?

Best is to have a diagnostics done and see if the LKM module is giving you any errors, your LKM could have gone for a ball of poo..

its probably a very stupid question but were the fogs still on your car with no lenses? if they were there might be alot of dirt so the bulbs are not getting a good connection?
when you get it working please post pics with the original and LED so we can see the difference :)

Do you still have a proper earth between the globe and the car?

On some modern cars the Light Control Module will "switch off" the lights that looks suspect (using to little or to much "watts") LED's use very little power.
But having said that, the old globes should work. Unless the LCM is so upset about the LED's that it needs a reset.

Some trucks need a box with a couple of resistors inside to keep the LCM happy when using LED park/brake and indicator lights.

:dunno: sorry to be a pain. . . . foglights only work when the ignition is on.

the lenses broke, but replaced them that weekend, then the lights worked, i banged the front of the car on our wonderful roads, the road was like a set of stairs. but this was last year, the front was fixed about a year ago, its only recent the fogs buggered out.
i have no power coming to the lights, i have tested continuity, and there is no break in the wires, when i swith the fogs on and off, i can hear the relay clicking.

iv even gone as far as replacing all the original lights and testing, but no luck.
i dont beleive the globes are responsible.
i also have no fault on the OBC, not sure if it picks up faults for the fogs.

could some one explain how the fuse box circut works, coz i checked fuse number 22 and i have power, then checked fuse 15, no power, i then checked a few others and some had power and some didnt, now im dumb struck, is there suppose to be some with constant power, and some without, or what???:banghead:
