LCI 330d owners info please

Hi all.

from all the 330d owner.
I am currently looking at a 2009 LCI 330d M Performance, ad says only one in SA, but im suspect its just a sales tactic.

https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-cars-ba...-m-sport-steptronic/1002010884710910332533109

I love the look however, and am very interested.

the mileage however is high at 177 000km, and id like to know what these cars are like to maintain, and if theyh are costly, (i know its a common question, but im new to BMW, and doing all the research i can, help would be hugely appreciated)

hope to hear from someone soon.

TIA

Justin

Looks definitely like a fully loaded OEM performance pack.

1st 330d performance pack I've seen though

Generally bulletproof. Best to do a backround check and then go check it out in person.

Check gearbox at ZF...

Then you know what you in for.

Personally never seen a 330d in this spec looks insane

If it really has been bumped to 250kw by whatever aftermarket company, then I'd do some serious checks on the car first.

Would start by getting the gearbox checked by ZF, as mentioned above.

I dont know too much about this specific car, but generally BMW Diesels are bulletproof. That car is still young.

You learn your way around the threads after the years

Yes that car seems legit BUT it might also have an aftermarket tune above the PPK kit, nonetheless if it was looked after should be good.

thanks man :) ive already made a few enquiries and sent a few PM's :D #Networking

I know you're excited, but make yourself aware of what can go wrong with a car that is this heavily modded, and make sure that you are able to cover the costs in the worst case scenario (I hope it doesn't come to that).

Get a proper assessment done, especially on the gearbox side.

Essentially, you will be taking your car in for a gearbox inspection/service.

Call, inform them what model/make you have, get a price on what you require, and POW! Generally, their service staff is very helpful, and will walk you through the entire process.

Do you mean this car is heavily modded? or heavily modded cars in general?

Just called ZF in Meadowdale, Germiston, spoke to Hardus in the Service Centre, and he ran me through what they do for the diagnostic, what they check, and how they check things. said it will take 45min - 1hr, and will be a free service for me, i just need to give them a heads up of at least one day in advance, so they can push me through.
then they can tell me the life span on the gearbox, oil condition etc.

So ive let the Dealer know that i want to take the car to them, they said i just need to get pre-approval before they let me take the car off the showroom floor.
