"The F30 does not have LC "launch control".
What we can do is brake torque.

At around 2100 rpm, even with the brakes on, the rear wheels will start to spin a bit.
I found a great way to launch hard is to brake, then throttle and when rpm gets to around 2000 let the brakes go.
But, don't just stomp on the throttle WFO cause you'll just do a wheel spin demonstration.
Modulate the throttle so that you get a bit of wheel spin and then hook up.

I used sport+ mode as it allowed plenty of wheel spin with no intrusion.
I didn't try turning DTC and DSC fully off with the button for that.
Give it a shot and see.

You can try different rpms as well as better throttle control.
Of course, to know which method yields the best accel times, you'd have to go to a 1/4 mile track and get some real numbers.
These cars are not 1/4 mile machines, but it's still fun to get to the track.
I doubt I'll take mine when it gets here.

Check the thread when the f30 335i was launched... that shows how the guy did it..

Will try find the link now.

so ya if it's DCT or the normal auto box... this shows the brake and revs up thing... no other launch control

so josh is right... no launch control in the real sense of the words.

Thanks thought I was doing it wrong as my rear wheels were spinning, so I will have to feather the throttle and find the sweet spot...

Yes agree with above I haven't done it in awhile but I find about 1800 to 2000 revs to be perfect. Remember it must be in Sport + mode, I've had some mean launches. Don't understand why they didn't include LC. I miss that feature, had it in the GTI.
I suppose the only concern is not to overdo it, once In Awhile should be fine.

Launch control wasn't available, but if they update your car to the latest i-step level it can now be coded.
