Here's the route The Real Stig suggested:

https://www.google.co.za/maps/dir/-...94e1!2m2!1d18.4068343!2d-33.9045518!3e0?hl=en

For a slightly longer journey we could include going around Kalkbay and Fishhoek before heading towards Chapmans Peak...this will add about another 10km...

So we can then either stop and have something to eat in Fishhoek somewhere(if we go this route).Or we can head straight to Houtbay and have something to eat there instead.Followed by some ice-cream in Seapoint/Greenpoint.We should stop at that beautiful viewpoint on Chapmans' for a couple of photos.There should be plenty of shaded parking.And it has great views overlooking Hout Bay harbour.

Feedback on Fishhoek...yes or no??? I truelly don't mind, it's up to you guys...:rollsmile:

I just remembered something..If its a nice day out on the 27th, that road from Kalk Bay through Fish Hoek is a nightmare, mostly if you are coming from Kalk Bay in the morning like we intend to do.
We will most probably spend roughly an hour in traffic from Kalk Bay to get through Fish Hoek.
Its a shame because its lovely scenery on that piece of road but all I mostly remember is trafic.. :thumbdo:
Might be wise to skip that extra 10km..

Im from the garden route what is this thing called traffic you speak of sounds kak:fencelook:

This is something to avoid in cases where;
1- Tyres needs to be warmed up,
2- Sheer driving pleasure wants to be achieved,
3- In manual cars,you don't want your left leg falls off after 1 hour;
4- One drives a Ford.
:rollsmile:

Agree with Stig on this, traffic on that stretch is definitely something you want to miss, unless you're going to be through it before 7:30. If not, avoid at all costs - it will absolutely spoil the ride...

may i make a suggestion,
that is to post a link to this thread in another more general thread...

I by accident discovered this one and if you look at the subject it doesnt say if other cars are welcome... my point being if we want loads more cars then perhaps. ?? :idea:

@ M4Life: if your manual 1M is too much trouble I will gladly take it off your hands for the day:biglol::biglol:
I've got a 135i DCT which should help give your left leg the rest it deserves:biglol::biglol:

Oh yeah, here's a fair warning: Be prepared to be hijacked on the run, that beauty of yours is going home with me if I have my way:roflol::roflol::roflol: you can keep the 135:rollsmile:

Yes I think this is a good idea, and will add it to the calender as-well!

@Johnny If in the event you acquire a certain 1M, chances are your 135i is leaving with me.. :ninja:

Funny this...as this thread WAS in the general discussions area to start with, till someone suggested I move it to this area....:nonono:

Now I'm confused as to where it should go:flyfun:

Let me check where previous runs' were made...
