Hi Guys
I am busy restoring an E21 323i Baur. The car is currently running the kjet fueling system which is proving to be a headache. Vacuum leaks, rough ideling, poor performance and fuel consumption to say the least
I am currently running the 200 head ( these come standard on the 525e and e21 6 cylinder engines). Thinking of going dicktator in the hope that my problems will be solved.
Having said that to avoid making up a fuel rail to match the kjet intake ( Kjet intake has smaller injector holes and apparently the e30 fuel rail doesn't clear the intake and needs to be shortened) I need some advice.
WRT the intake manifold from an e30 320i/e30 323i i.e Intake manifold of a 731 head, I believe the ports on the 731 intake are bigger than the standard intake off the 200 head.
1. Can the 731 intake be used on the 200 head without any issues?
I don't really want to go complete 731 head at this stage as I have already reconditioned the 200 head with new valves, stems seals etc
2. Any good macs in JHB that could carry out this conversion for me?
3. Any other bright ideas/advice?
