Hey Shaine

Remove Number plate... And slip some paper between the windscreen and VIN number...

I wanted to come but Im climbing Table Mountain tomorrow morning..... (Dont ask).

Also make sure your car is looked over before you go on the track. We dont need another accident. Be safe and have fun!

I'm in Porteville this weekend visiting my mom.

Last time I was a Open Track day it was pretty fun. There were some nice cars including a Noble M10 or M12 (Not sure) and a Merc 6.3 something. The merc was burning rubber right around the track.

This stroked E30 was also there:

Anyway, sorry I'm missing this.

so track day was pretty damn awesome.

only other experience I have was in my e36 328i with fully adjustable koni suspension. the 2 cars after my experience today IMO are uncomparable.

after 1 day in my 328i, I pretty much did the side walls on my tires, the m3 has no signs are uneven wear (I assume the LSD has a lot to do this this).

the handling on the car is amazing, and the stability under super hard braking was impressive. brakes also held up well, with no sign of fade.

started off doing like 1:45's, and then my buddy with a G5 GTI, who has been to tons, was doing 1:36's. left me a bit bleak :) after going with him (first time in a GTI on the track, was pretty impressed with how rapid it was) and him showing me the lines, and then him coming with me, giving me the turning points, at the end of the day I was able to get 1:37/36's, so pretty chuffed that i managed to get 9 seconds off in 1 day :)

totally fun day, and awesome to drive the car hard (I think there is a lot left in it, drove with DSC on, and could feel it hampering, but it probably saved me some spins too :) ). will def go back

I didnt end up going, decided to watch the rugby, then went to a braai. This was the 2nd 1 I've missed. My best time is 1:34

did about 4 sessions of about 8 laps each.

all timing was done using a mobile phone with internal GPS, and racechrono software, so it is probably not 100% accurate
