discussion Keep the wheels or not?

So as suspected, my 21s are quietly highly desired. Have another dealer (my usual supplier whom I called for advice) who's interested and sounds like he WILL do a better deal for me.... So holding off on the Fourways rims for now, until he can get back to me with what he can offer. Even if I score just the spare wheel that's a win.

On that note, I must say Fourways has been very accommodating and helpful. They sorted out a few minor issues I had on the car (they're still stingy as anything though, I didn't score any extras except when I made a noise about why they didn't pick up the non-working seat heating lol. Then they threw in a set of mats, I think to keep me quiet 🤣)
The used car manager Ockert in particular is nice. I also like that they gave me access to the workshop manager directly - something I never got right at West Rand.

They don't look bad at all... Kruger roads anytime
I'm actually looking at the pics of the car with the 21s and I prefer the 19s. The brakes are more visible and the car looks more aggressive than sporty (to me anyway). The 21 is a beautiful rim, but I don't regret it for a second, even though value wise it's a big knock. (On the plus side I save a little on insurance every month because I don't have to add it as an option lol)

How much did the wheels cost? Currently have the 18” on my 30d and have been hoping to go up a size or two for better spirited driving performance

Unless you are tackling a race track and looking for improved lap times, upsizing your rims will not give you a tangible improvement in day-to-day driving performance, even for spirited driving on normal roads.

One way to improve driving feel would be to switch to non runflats and to a more performance oriented tyre without changing the rim size.

For an X3M that was built to defy the laws of SUV physics, then a lower profile and larger rim setup, preferably staggered, makes sense.
