karcher Foam Lance

This looks pretty good for the price
It holds 400ml less than the fancy Italian Foam cannon. But don't think this makes a big difference as Iv never used a full Litre of foam to treat the car

Actually it could be the Avalanche foam that you used
The foam u used is specifically formulated to foam like that

Another thing is the dilution ratio and the pressure rating on you machine
Iv seen it a few times where my foam is watery and some times it's super thick another factor people don't think of is the hardness of the water.
The softer the water the more foam.

There are quite a few videos for snow foam. It's quite interesting
I personally don't foam my car unless I want to strip the lsp off the car

Is this the case with all car washes? I foam the car all the time using max suds, but use a APC mix when claying, polishing.

Iv found that for the foam to be thick and clingy you need to Increase the dilution ratio
Bit I'm sure you will be fine. Just keep an eye on the lsp protection. You will soon see when you don't have any left on your car

I picked up one of these when CD was waiting on stock, cost was R279.
Does the job, but definitely doesn't foam as must as some of the others I have seen.

Need to play around with a few different products and dilutions to find the optimal mix.

I have heard a hot water soap mix will foam more, anyone given this a try?

I love mine, cheap & gets the job done.
I mix hot water with my car wash & some of the Karcher Ultra foam cleaner (included with the lance)
Still playing around with diff ratios though.
I'm also afraid of it stripping the wax if you make it too strong...

I like mine too! more than enough foam for me but again I stick with my 80/20 ratio of Sonax gloss shampoo, Karcher foam and boiling water, foaming the cars = lots of fun really

Now that you mentioned .., i have noticed that over time the LSP wears off quicker than it should, i and wash my cars basically every two weeks, or a week if they get dirty and ASAP after certain situations(tar, mud, insects and flies).

At the same time, i think the foaming helps soften and remove the dirt and makes the washing process easier. My wifes car parks outside and is basically attacked by birds on a daily basis. Without the use of foam, i have to double check i have removed all spots(its not bird droppings, but tiny drops of god knows what).

Catch 22....?

Can somebody who gets this lance please post some pics up and give us a review?

I know about the karcher lance, but I have yet to see a local review. As the importer of "Italian" lance, I will be more than happy if something can deliver the same results at a cheaper price. Seriously, we make next to nothing on those things due to he exchange rate. We only really bring them in because of the demand by you guys.

If the karcher does the job we'll even stock it to make your life easier.

I just checked the video now, looks like it foams decently. I have the CD "made in italy" on & its great, but for the price this one would seem like a good place to start for someone that wants to get themselves a kit.

I also must say, that with a car thats nicely waxed, with the correct ratio of car wash in the foam lance, it makes washing so easy.

I just spray with PW to rinse the car, then I foam it, then I get my buckets etc ready and spray rinse it again & then I foam it again, by this stage the cars almost clean, then its just a simple process of washing it.

Pravin I may be in States next month.
Will pick one up and let you know

I think he meant he wants us to test out the cheap one for him
I'll take some pics tom/thurs & maybe type up a (very short) review but I haven't used the CD lance so I can't compare.
What I can say is for the price, I'm very happy with it
I think people forget that thicker foam is good but the foam must still be runny enough to be able to run down the side of the car (pulling the dirt with it)
