Hello!

A short while ago my driveway was graced with the presence of a beautiful white M3.

It was placed in my care as Kabal wanted the car detailed. Of course I had never worked on an M car and gladly obliged especially as it meant I got to drive it. :joy:

She started off looking a bit dull, lacking that oomph she deserved:

A bit of effort, some swearing and even more work I give you:

And my favourite shot of the day:

This is one of those cars which I have always wanted to detail and experience, I cant wait for the next one!

Thanks Kabal!

I usually never really enjoy the cars I work on as I dont always drive them besides moving them around when cleaning and polishing etc.

This I got to drive for a bit and having never understood the M experience I was blown away. Loved the feel, noise and looks.

The detail isnt important here, much like with Sith's thread I made - Its all about the BMW.

Been on a few breakfast runs with Kabal in front of me, so can most definitely attest to the noise!

Thank you for the comments everyone. :=):

The car was booked in for what I call a Showroom Enhancement which is a Single Day Detail/Valet:

Preparation:

- Mag wheels, arches and exhausts sprayed with degreaser & agitated.
- Body is hosed with Shampoo and allowed to settle for 10 minutes.
- Badges, weather strips and door hinges agitated in the meantime.
- Car is hosed down with a high pressure washer.
- Bodywork is washed with a microfibre cloth and shampoo.
- Dried off with a fresh microfibre, wheels dried seperately.

Enhancing:

- Bodywork is inspected for marks, swirls and problem areas are noted.
- In the case of this M3 an initial pass was made using Meguires Paint Cleaner with the Rotary.
- Each panel receives at least two passes using a fine cut polish (Chemical Boys, Smart Wax, Meguires etc).

This removes light swirling with more effort being put in for areas worse off.

- Headlights, rear lights polished for clarity.
- Exhaust pipes polished with Megs NXT or Autosol.
- Plastic trim is protected with conditioner.
- Glass is cleaned with Autoglym Glass Cleaner.
- Tyre Shine/Gel applied to tyres and arches to enhance depth.

Protecting:

- Mag Wheels waxed with Rim Wax.
- Bodywork waxed with either Meguires, Collonite, Smart Wax, Wax Paste or sealed.
- Door arches, hinges and plastics sealed with sealant.

Interior & Engine Bay:

- Interior Vacuumed.
- Leather cleaned & moisturized.
- Surface wiped down and cleaned intensively.
- Engine Bay plastics protected and metals polished.

Final touches usually involve a photoshoot and lots of smiles from the owner. :=):

I have just taken on a whole new range of products ranging from Collonite to Concourse Paste Waxes so looking forward to pampering cars with them.
