thought I would just start an all in one thread to journal the changes, fixes, maintainence, etc that I do.

The car in question is a 1998 E36 M3, with 193000km.

a small cosmetic improvement, hello ///M stitching.

just used a warm cloth, and that improved it 10x. then I decided to go all out, and hit the entire wheel with gliptone leather cleaner, followed by gliptone leather conditioner. the gliptone is awesome. leaves zero sticky residue, and an oem like matte finish.

unfortunately this wheel is a little worn, the top is quite scuffed. a bit spoilt from the e46 m wheels I had previously. if I can find a mint wheel I will go that route but really enjoy the plushness of new half/half perforated leather, but the problem is finding someone that can do an OEM+ job. you can also see how the airbag cover is "whitening". really not sure how to go about correcting that, even if it is possible?

Plastidip maybe?

Dupli-color vinyl spray will work

+1 will work better than plastidip. Plastidip is not really ideal for areas that is exposed to a lot of touching or rubbing.

My airbag on the e39 did the same. Chemical guys leather creme works like a charm. I have some at home if you wanna pop by at some time.
