Hi Guys.
I went searching around the internet and found that i can get a K&N filter which is made for your specific model 1 series.
So im going to phone around and see where i can get one and try it out.
Basically K&N said it replaces the stock one and no need for cutting etc.

Im not sure though how to even get the air box off LOL
the Filter part number is a RC-9310

Any of you guys tried Filters and that?
Any advice?

Thanks
Jarryd

the filter will improve throttle response and you should see a small improvement in fuel consumption... I have used them before and the induction sound is the biggest difference

over all they worth the cost and pay for themselves over time :) be sure you clean and recharge it according to K&N instructions and you will have no problems...

Jarryd go to Masterparts in Bellville. Masterparts

These K&N flat panel filters are direct replacements. Don't expect much change in performance or sound. Looking around now i don't think they made flat panel filters for 1 series.

The part number you posted is for a cone filter. You will need a heat shield other wise you will decrease performance due to hot air being sucked in. It does make a nice exhaust sound. My K&N CAI was imported from UK.

I had a look at it and K&N say this cone fits inside the airbox

Yep, made quite a difference, throttle response is better but i think it has more to do with the fact that my old filter was filthy than the k&n filter
