K&N Cold Air Intake For e46 M3??

Hey guys,i just want to find out if any1 here fitted a 57 Series K&N cold air intake on an e46 M3 and if you feel/gain any power on the car??Would you recommend this product?Thanks!!!:thumbsup:

I doubt that an intake will give u any noticeable power gains. I think it needs to be coupled with a chip and zorst (Speculating here). An intake alone will prolly give u a nicer sound from the engine and thats it. Plus be careful as I have heard some intakes tend to draw power instead of adding. Hope this helps!

I currently have the 57 series intake on my E46 M coupled with remapped software and a decat and I definitely felt the improvement. It also sounds quite nice when pulling hard but is barely audible during normal driving.

Oh k kewl,thanks guys:thumb:ialready have an exhaust system and software on my car so defntly gonna be putting the cold air intake.M3nace do you know any1 in durban or S.A where i cn get the intake?aswel as the price?:thinking:

Try searching the K&N website for the SA distributors but I got mine from Tune-tech which is in JHB. I think that they retail for around R3k.

I ordered it from modbargains,should be here hopefully by next week.Not sure if i should mount it in the normal place where the original air filter fits or at the bottom by my bumper as I have the CSL type bumper,any suggestions?:thinking:
