Eish sorry to hear boet. Listen your head is probaly all over this place right now. Remember in the end it will all work out for the best. Strongs buddy.
Start thinking of a new name. She might be Jezzy from the cape but she a Jozi gal now. Keeping fingers crossed for you buddy.

This might sound crazy now bud you need to speak to Jezzy. Tell her how much you love her and how she makes your heart skip a beat and how you will take good care of her. Once the two of you connect you will see she wil so you only love

Ok yeah agree, but then that means US the consumer just need to spend a few K's to F'ed it up...?

I really didn't follow Jezebel that much, but I remember seeing on the forum when Crash was about to take over the vehicle everything was done and strong so he just need to slap the SC on?

If you modify you gonna spend BIG moola, look at HPF's, do you think there add on's are cheap? Anybody can slap a motor together, I know I used to be a mechanic. But to get the desired reliable horses it takes precision engineering. Im not saying that the car was not done properly in the first place, but one needs to be highly attuned to continuous maintenance on modified vehicles.

seriously not cool. I had high expectations for the car seeing as though the SC'd 323i ran so well.

But, If anything...this gives you the opportunity to strengthen the top as well. Im sure this will benefit the long run:thumbs:

all the best

Why spend a gazillion $$$'s to build a bulletproof bottom end, and not look at the top?

This is why I'm scared to buy modified stuff. Especially in expensive brands, like our beloved BMW.

Just the thought of spending all your money on something you desire, then having to fork out another possible R50k sends shivers down my spine, and I'll likely be driving my 325i like miss daisy until I forget about this thread.

My motto has always been : "If you want to own a performance car, buy it new." (Not that I have ever owned one, but then again, I'm living up to my motto :) )

Crash, all the best bud. I hold thumbs that things get sorted within reason, and doesn't break the bank. We all have been waiting for that supercharged M3 to tear up suburbia

I may be wrong on this....

It's about 2years ago that the engine was rebuilt?
The valves were then described as "excellent"...

Now these are high performance engines with high performance parts.

What sort of mileage was done in the 2 years since the rebuild? The can't possibly have worn out that fast unless a lot of driving was done??

Engine has done about 15k kilometeres since the rebuild. The Valves were never changed, they the originals that have always been in the car, so now, they've done about 128 000 HARD kilometres. The car was also running lean when I got her back to JHB and ran the codes at Burgy. Another thing, G&C did say that the rockers need to be changed/replaced, but that never happened. I changed them 2 weeks ago, and my guess is these old worn rockers are the cause for the valve failing... Who knows.

Don't worry guys I am not selling her. We going to make sure the top half is bullet proof now. THese are the new Valves I have ordered for Jezzy -

No more valves falling into Cylinders. Apparently, Lee believes this is what caused the ticking sound I was so annoyed about.

None the less, the GREEN LIGHT has been given. Burgy is importing all the parts for me and Lee will be putting it all together.

So +- a week or so till the parts arrive and the rebuild can start.

Here we go... again.

Terrible thing to happen, glad it's not a write off. Best wishes for the build, at least you'll now have a guaranteed base for your S/C, even if it takes a while. Look forward to Jezzy eating a Porsche or two.
