JB4 usb cable install

Hi guys,

I have a JB4 unit installed in my 335i and recently purchased the USB cable that goes with it. My question is do i have to remove the ground terminal on the battery as per BMS JB4 installation instructions in order to connect the USB cable to the unit or can i just open up and connect without removing the terminal?

Not an expert on this, but would suggest disconnecting negative terminal to be on the safe side.....

Disconnect to be safe, if you gonna be running the cable through the firewall, you dont know what the cable may touch.
