JB4 powered: N54 World record 500whp on stock turbos

It was a 5th gear run. I wonder if that makes a diff. E100 was used with stock HPFP. That's very hard to believe. Awesome power with stock snails tho, in any configuration

Possible I made 458whp with 20% ethanol, meth and octane booster. Without any backend flash

Wow! That's massive power . Well done.
Probably the highest in SA for a stock snail x35i

This is on N54tech. The run was in 5th gear which yielded slightly better results. The part that made the biggest difference was the MMP turbo intakes. Those intakes added 44whp!!!! WTF.

Sorry for the ignorance, but what are turbo intakes? 44whp I want them now! Mother trucker!
I thought air intakes and downpipes was all you could do to help stock turbos?

The MMP intakes are not available for RHD vehicles at present.

It's not the filters that make the power. It's the inlets. The reason the stock inlets make so much less power than the upgraded inlets, is due to how small, flat, and restrictive they are. They work for 8psi, but after that it really starts robbing the turbo of what the turbos can actually do by artificially driving the pressure ratio of the turbo up due to pulling vacuum on the intake side. For upgrading the stock inlets on stock turbos the intakes are worth +45whp with proper tuning and +100whp on upgraded hybrid turbos like RBs, VTT stage 2, and stage 2+.

Thanks KrS24, makes more sense now. Its funny because we upgrade all the charge pipes and big piping with intercoolers etc, but if there is one smaller diameter pipe anywhere in the system its just going to cause a bottleneck. The piping does get really thin and have some weird shapes in places.
