I wonder when a fellow member gets one and posts in the showroom is everyone gonna congratulate them or post "looks kak"? :D

I mean the G80/82 got the same negative reactions, the new M2 etc

Some can forgive the looks and all can appreciate the performance on those. I think this is stretching too far.

It kinda looks like a Mercedes A class and not in a good way lol
The previous one, especially from the rear, looks a lot like the A Class

Don't get me wrong guys, I'm not in the market for one, and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Not defending it blindly, just playing devil's advocate today.

I'm gonna "Watch" this thread or keep an eye out for F70 threads to see if opinions change. lol 🔍

I am with you on that. I tend to have new BMWs grow on me over time anyway. So I have a feeling the more I see it in person I will probably really like it. But I want nothing to do with cloth seats thats for sure. 🤣

I'm pretty sure if I drive past this in person I'm gonna think it's some random npc ford/kia/hyundai/merc, there's nothing making it stand out to be unique unless it has it's indicators on constantly.

But tbh, we're all just taking a piss at it, it looks horrible, just my opinion and that should not mean a thing to anyone owning one.
Maybe it grows on us, just like a parasite by nature does, who knows?

Hopefully the guys at Maxton or wherever can do this justice with a nice kit in the future, until then though, calling this thing "The one" is a tad excessive. The one that ruined it all yeah if that's what they meant.

New M2..that front..those lack of lines..Lego style
New 4 series ..buck tooth front..horrid
New 1 series..Hyundai I30N look alike..cant unsee it now

the X2 M35 design is a winner

Yeah, as if moving away from RWD and stripping 2 cylinders wasn't enough they now produce less power and have 1 less gear, now coming in a 7-speed.

The car design looks horrible, the mags design is getting worse and they don't have anything to identify themselves with anymore. The only fun factor here is pulsing blinkers and if you're into minimal designs, the interior. I really liked the big screen when I saw it in the G80 for the first time but the more I look at it, the more I appreciate EVERYTHING they have done with our F2x's.

When I saw the F40's for the first time I was sure that they must have a team smoking socks working on their new cars but now, with this THING, even the F40's seem ok.

I think 7 speed DCT. That’s an awsome box

BMW lost their BMW-ness over a decade ago, and they just keep missing the mark with newer models. To be honest for some reason BMW design languages do seem to grow on you, so maybe there is method to their madness afterall.

It is the small things that brought fans to BMW….like the unmistakable BMW sound when you crank the engine……..the design language (hofmeister kink, lights), driving dynamics (weight distribution, rear wheel drive orientation and handling capabilities)

Guess its all behind us now……

I see many enthusiasts moving to Porsche!

They have done all the things mentioned above, yet they keep their prices high. I can’t see myself spending 2 bar+ on a BMW, Merc or Audi for that matter. The most sensible car imo is a Porche.
The other aspect is Porche holds value.

What BMW is doing to the Kidney Grille lately, 😭😭😭.
I think they have an identity crisis on their hands at the moment. The 1 series is now identifying as a Kia, I30N, Ford etc all depending on how you tilt you head.

I regret saying it, but the guys at Motech are working their magic on this fckin potato.

I never thought I would like it, and even though it's still a 4pot, when it comes to the looks, it really ain't looking all that bad after getting some attention.
