I gave the guy a call, he said the car stood still for 8 months without being started and the pistons seized in the cylinder... is that possible?

I wonder why it was standing for 8 months in the first place - maybe there was something else wrong

That price is hectically steep!!! A 328 sedan should be 40-50k in awesome nik and 60-70k if it's a 328 individal/motorsport. I'd offer the oke 45k and if he argues tell him the motor was rebuilt and it's not in original condition due to the bumper and mags. then when he wants to negotiate tell him you aren't open to negotiations and he can take it or leave it. then he'll probably make a last offer , which should be quite low, and then you can decide if it's in your budget or not.

And don't forget to mention the missing foglights etc.

Hi Guys,

So i bought the car for R50k, i don't think its an individual, although he does have motorsport rims, front bumper, side skirts and boot lip. The engine sounds great, no funny clicks or knocks.. all the electronics work, the leather has cracks but no tears in it. I think its a winner but we'll only find out next starlight get together when y'all slate the poor thing :p

Good luck with the new purchase ekse.

The next starlight meeting will be 03/03/2011.

Bring the car along.

By the way, the rims on that car comes off an M3. It was never used on any other e36 model (from the factory that is), including the individuals. Lots of guys do use them though.

:excited: wow that looks so familiar. mine was identical, I had the M3 rims painted and polished especially for my liking, the Silver was a shade darker than the cars paint. :mmm:

I think those rims are painted :p except the car was that metalic blue-ish/silver-ish colour but its been painted Silver...

If it is/was your car why did you sell it, it wasn't broken or anything :O was it?

Is the head lining and sun visors black? Does it have wood trim centre console? If so then its an individual
