Is this normal?

I noticed tonight that on my E93 M3 the right rear is lower than the passenger rear by about two fingers (held vertically). Now I havent really noticed this before, but I was checking my rear tyres for any damage and found this out. The E46 M3 had it as well, apparently it was to balance the weight? Any advice or ideas? Tyre pressure is normal, so im not sure what it could be. I am hoping though that it is normal.

Bud the other day I noticed this on my M5 (e39) and thought maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me! Glad to hear I'm not the only one that's noticed this!

It is normal for RHD BMWs to be slightly lower on the driver side, because the cars are designed to be LHD so some things are moved to the right side in the car to offset the weight of the driver, but now in a RHD the car is heavier on the right side, because things like the battery and the a large part of the fuel tank is to the right in the car, also in the case of non-V engines the engine is also slanted to the right.

As stated by the others, it is normal to be slightly lopsided, but NOT 2 fingers' difference. :nonono:
Something is broken

Either there is something very much wrong with your car or you have tiny fingers, that description is vague at best....

That explains it pretty good, noticed on my car as well.

Two fingers :nonono:

Just checked mine and yes the left is slightly higher, but this isn't noticeable by eye (probably a mill or 2 most). As for the two fingers, my rears are not even two fingers high, I'd say 1 and a half.

Maybe the M3 convertible differs to the sedan and coupe?

So I took these images yesterday and from the images it doesnt look abnormal. Perhaps it's just me. Anyway, the first is the left, the second is the right. It's on a flat surface. Any advice appreciated.

Yep there is a noticeable difference there mate. Mine does seem a bit lower, but left height looks like my 330i honestly. Try having a look at another M3 con, then you'' know for sure. If its abnormal, then its off to the dealers.

I would take it to the dealers irrespective to be checked. It will worry you not knowing.
