Is this acceptable for a brand new BMW?

Naturally Mike.

I agree with all of you. I was merely pointing out that there are ways of dealing with these things.

Mike just remember when you get a product that has not been correctly checked by quality control and they dont want to replace it for you - dont get upset and just accept you win some and loose some. :)

Its the attitude that we as South African have come to expect and and have had to except :thumb: so none of us can complain about anything that is wrong in our country.

OH Mike  - dont get me wrong not picking on u - but the system that has been created with poor client service in this country and the mindset that has become of it.

:) remember some are more emotional than others and the way they express it might come across as attacking you but they dont know how to actually control themselves - so if it ever happens - give them a drink or something to feel welcome talk...dont fight back. :) (BTW this i for everyone dealing with clients)

My Father is a 5 ft Pora and If you heard him loose his kewel with someone you would think he is 7 ft. he dont have control :dropjaw:

I am very curious about no paint inspection with the PDI.

Somebody within the organization must be responsible for not getting the cars scratched, or at least noticing if something happens so new buyers can be informed.

I mean................this makes zero sense. and yes I'm being a little sarky, but it's nogal true boet..... no really.

" Oh yes Mr Smith I do understand your rear door on your one day old car has a fat dent in it, but it wasn't on the PDI list to check before we took your 100K cheque, so we just sold it like that and company policy says shit happens, so we just repair when you complain because it's not out fault, it was "probably" the factory and nobody told us, so now you get screwed"

Surely it is checked at some point otherwise that would be really silly for all involved?

For an automotive company not to know exactly what is going on with billions of Rands worth of new cars between the factory and the dealer is utter bull........ Somebody there KNOWS exactly what happened, and if they are keeping quiet, at least you want to know where and when which is actually quite do-able!

You guys need to talk more, have some meetings over the internet or print more reports or something.

@ Minimike, I'm just having you on btw just because, but I think I may be making a valid point I hope...no?

Alrighty....2nd day now and still no feedback from BMW. I stated clearly to the CRM to please keep me informed as to what is happening with this case and clearly they don't give a sh1t. So now how do you suppose I react? It really is a sad state of affairs when you have to behave like a pr1ck to get some answers....
