Theres an is evo2 for sale, my friends, friends car, its relatively neat but, engine bay not clean, front seats need to be recovered and fixed, rims need to be refurbished, and 1,2 small other things. Is it worth it for R50 000-00? its go 220 000km

It doesn't sound to bad for R50k. In the end it's up to service history and if you feel it's worth it :thumb:

if it is a genuine evo2, then the price is decent. If you don't take it, pass the number along please.

sounds like a decent price. Best is take it to a reputable BMW mechanic and get it checked out. If it is only those things you say need to be fixed consider it.

It is a collectors item,if you restore it, you will be able to get double that easily!!!

pics please...

No service history is a risk but it depends what you want to do with the car...

How would i know if it is genuine

Your best bet would be to look at the VIN number. The Evo 1 and Evo 2's VIN numbers each started with their own unique 3 characters. If I remember correctly, the Evo 2 started with OEJ... it's somewhere on the e30clubsa forum.

if the body is straight and theres no cracks in the dash then I would buy the car without checking anything else actually, however if there are cracks in the dash its going to be a huge problem, because you will never source an uncracked dash and the car will never be restored because the dash would be cracked.
