Hi all

I have a 2006 bmw e90, i was wondering if it's normal for the headlights to dim when you rev the car or apply the breaks, I've only noticed this happening recently, has anyone else experienced this or can there be a problem with my wiring?? And this morning my second angel eye bulb fused, is this all connected somehow?

Your responses will be highly appreciated
Want to get to the bottom of this cause these bulbs is hell expensive:blueCry:

Hallo,

This sounds more like a bad connection on the alternator or a that the belt driving the alternator is slipping. Are there any squealing or hissing sounds when you rev the car?

It can also point to a faulty regulator on the alternator or something as simple as a dirty or loose terminal on the battery.

Thanks for your response, the car does have a ticking sound on start up but goes away when i put my foot on the clutch, or if i give the car a rev or two... when i rev the car on it does make a kind of blowing sound on the come down which for me i don't think is usually, i have booked the car in for a major service and will have them look at the alternator as well now
