thanks for the welcome guys

330 e46 or e90 , petrol .

ive been searchin the gum and only found 2 possible candidates

1 is e46 goin 4 , 120k and the other an e90 for 180k but in joburg also saw an e90 for 155k but no sunroof .
so which do i get the newer 1 or the older 1 as the mileage is almost the same , but i only wanna buy if its worth it and as a daily ,
any advice ?

true , was thinkin of a 330d with a water meth kit and some software ,

but that will take some convincing and a few test drives ,as ive not owned or driven a bmw diesel, nor do i knw anythin about their maintenance ,

^^ what they said. if you do a lot of mileage in a day i wouldnt tune the car especially a diesel.

Have to object here.....
If you are doing a lot of kms on a daily basis you are NOT doing them on full load!
Cruising with our modified diesels will be as enjoyable as a stock.

As for the sound of our modified traktors, ask Psymon69 for his opinion.

Welcome to the forum!!

Not in mint condition, and does need new brake disks/pads, but otherwise a very nice car and still going strong - BMW 330i GREAT CAR!!

Took a look at it a week or so ago and was pretty impressed, but price for the condition, age, mileage is too high! Also, one of the plastic jack point cups is sitting loose in the boot, so possible issues underneath, maybe a minor issue though. Wheels need to be refurbished - newish Hankook RFT's. Some bumps and bruises to take car of, but not bad. If I had spare cash and space I would easily buy it!

oh yes! the sound of a diesel with a promotec exhaust!! never heard anything like that!:inlove: I was the biggest diesel skeptic, but now...:fencelook:

All the sound of a 335i with none of the drawbacks, no joke:thumbs: 700+nm, can you really argue? can you?:joy:

sorry rolf. but maybe i speak for myself. i have decided to leave my 135i at home during the week because its tuned and i do about 100-200km a day. most times i am pushing the car even when there is no-one to race against. a tuned 135i /330d/etc begs to be driven hard. i dont tune my car to drive it like miss daisy. you base your assumption on open road cruising. i doubt that is how people with tuned cars drive. i dont.

the question was asked about a 330 and you recommended a 330d which is great. a tuned one also great but i think its important that people understand the risks so they can make their own decision. its only fair. painting an unrealistic rosey picture is misleading and can lead to disappointment for the person who unknowingly follows that advice.

have seen the diesels on the ice cream runs and they give the petrols a good go for there money.

first drive them both then make up your mind.

i have driven a 335i ac schnitzer and to be honest wouldnt be able to drive it dailly,as the exhaust would drive me crazy.it does sound great but im getting older:rollsmile:

by the way welcome, any questions and they will be answered by some one here
