Intermittent ABS warning light on E36

Hi folks,

My ABS warning light has started coming on at random times.

This usually happens 3-10min after startup and if I turn the car off and on again it usually stays off.

Any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it?

Thanks,
J

It could be brake pad wear sensor related believe it or not. Or even ASC/DSC sensor related.

I changed Pads and disconnected both the sensors, And the DSC and ABS only came back online after the brakes readjusted with the first test drive.

There should be one for each wheel.

Thanks for the reply. Ironically Ive had the disks and pads replaced about 2000km ago, along with new sensors. Would it be logical to assume that since it hasnt given problems (break sensor) since then, it could be eliminated as the cause?
