Interesting find

I have been reading the specs on SA version of the E60 M5 and it seems by the assigned code S858A "low compression engine" that the local M5's might not have the 12:1 compression ratio, thus the power would be lower, similar to what was done to the E36 M3 S50B32 engines. Anybody have some info to collaborate this?

Not that it is really applicable on the s85, but the s38 was a low compression version only in the gulf region. We still got the high compression engines
