Dude, how did you get your retail value so high, Discovery wants to insure mine at 190k but its less than 100,000kms on the clock so weird
Get a reputable dealer to give you a valuation letter. Your broker should sort the rest, will impact your premiums and so on though.

Naked Insurance
I always take maximum excess.
Premium is R460 for 2022 Ford EcoSport
R750 for 2018 X3 20d
R993 for S60 Polestar

Full comprehensive cover at retail amount.
No car hire.

Outsurance and Budget are definitely cheaper than Naked (at least on my quotes), but their service is slow and crap. Willing to pay that extra amount to Naked for efficient service.

I live in the dodgier part of Midrand, so perceived location risk is high.

When I was younger, I had some big ticket claims but that was more than 12 years ago and falls out of the usual claim history window for insurers.

I prefer maximum excess, because the monthly savings in premiums can be stashed away in offshore investments. This obviously won't work for everyone.
