importing from out motoring

Hi I'm importing stuff for my car from out motoring do you pay taxes and stuff and how much will it more or less be .my parts is R5000 and delivery R590 what other cost will be add for it to get to my place

Tax/VAT on motor parts can be up to 40% I believe.
Not 100% sure though

you pay IMPORT DUTIES, VAT, TAX and anything SARS FEELS LIKE CHARGING you. they have a duties bible that tells you what percentage duty to pay for what item you import but they are not consistent because the average person does not have this book and does not know any better. knowledge is power.

Basically they try and charge as much as possible.

Outmotoring mark the packages as "Gifts", All the stuff I got from them, there were no duties.
