so the car has been to the drags at Isitebe and with fairly plane rear tires I did a 13.4sec 1/4mile and a month later 2 November to be exact a couple of the boys prepped for the Mtuba Drags and it was an awesome day out.
We only managed 3 runs due too the sheer number of 4 cylinder cars entered. None the less the learning curve was awesome with trying too gain max traction from the Yokohama Advan Ad08 - tried different starting Rpm from 2500rpm which gave too much wheelspin and a 14sec time , then 2200rpm and 13.3sec time , final run it all came together , entered the starting blocks into the water trap, put full traction off and started burnout moved too the line for staging and put 1/2 traction on - pulse racing and tunnel vision begun. Held the car at 1800rpm, lights go green and let go of clutch. The car rockets forward with minimal wheelspin and everything pulls together including gear shifts. This run was a 12.7sec and my personal best. I am still learning and think that between 1500rpm and 1800rpm is best. Going forward we have another event on 7 December and will try have the 2step rev limiter relay fitted for No Lift Shifting and limiting revs on take-off.
