You already have 22kw more :fencelook:

The std M88 had 210kw and the S38 232kw and you already have everything that makes the S38 better. :rollsmile: In fact, with the M88 pistons, you should have a higher compression, so it should be even stronger than a std S38.

On a serious note - I am pretty sure if you could ditch the Airflow meter and the hot air induction and replace both those power parasites with a MAF and a proper cold air induction you would possibly yield 10kw when accompanied by a re-tune. For more gains the next steps would be cams/larger throttles/larger ports/larger exhausts and worse drivability. And all of them needs to be done simultaneously in order to benefit anything. One at a time will actually make it worse until everything comes together. Not to mention the $$$$$ for the latter improvements.

Also - power has no meaning without control, so by your own admittance, I would rather first look into the roadholding issues.

Lacking in the later I was hopping for the former :rollsmile:

You certainly make sense I have no desire for stripping the motor to enlarge everything.

I will need to apply my mind to it.

Progress report? It's been a while.

My suggestions are

Weight saving

Shorter Diff

No power increase but it'll be faster :)

My thinking was 2 x BMW FANATICS stickers however I am not so confident as to my ability to control the extra power :rollsmile:
