I need help / BIG favor

According to SC1 the car is in overall good nic with just a few niggles. What did make him a pit suspicious was that he spesifically asked the sales guy to bring the cars's service books with, which he did not.

SC1 went to a lot a trouble and did a very nice write up with I will post this evening with the pics as he posted them to me. Then maybe you guys can help. :thumbs:

So, Coisman had a look for me and I had a good look at the photo's that Slotcars1 send me. I think the car was in an accident and it shows that the odo meter reading in the 1 st 0f June 2012 was over 196k kilo's and not 162k kilo's as it is now. I also know it is easy to jippo the odo's.

The feeling SC1 got from the sales guy and what I get is not warm and fuzzy, so the search continues.

Now that's how they are supposed to look. That car is beautiful, and if that's the original kilo's then that's just insane ! The price however is too steep for me but the condition and kilo's justifies it. Who can borrow me R140000 ?

So this guy phones me this morning to say that he hasn't heard from me and what did I think of the car.

I told him again, that I was not looking at the car for me, and that my sources told me that it changed hands not so long ago at 19x xxx km.

I requested the service history again to verify.

I get a call back no more than 15min later and he only has up to 70 000km on him and the rest he will have printed at BMW.... WTF???. The other day he told me it only had service history to 100k at bmw and the rest at an independent BMW specialist.

I am going to string this oke on for a while now because this is pathetic.

Nearly every car that comes up for sale has some sort of Gremlin in the boot..... F&cking irritates me.

Kobus I now owe you a thank you, for providing me with some entertainment. :idea:

Oh the other thing he said now, was that he bought it from a wholesaler ?!?!? whatever that means... but better than that, the other day, he said it was bought from an elderly gentleman up country....

Hi All,

For the "in the closet" BMW lovers on this forum, my old man (pensioner) has decided to part with his '97 4 door M3. Car is in excellent allround condition and just had the sub assembly rebuilt at a cost of R50k. This is a nothing to spend White 4 door M3, still with a new car smell from the black leather. Mileage just clicked the 200K mark. Full 17inch M3 spare wheel, original bmw radio (with cassete and cd shuttle. Full tool kit, rear blind, cubby torch light etc. Everthing on this car works as from day one.

Only thing missing is the front splitters as this was removed due to a sloped driveway and the scraping annoyed the old man. I might still be able to locate them or originals will be purchased from agents should a prospective buyer require them.

As in life everything is negotiable but the old man is looking at R120k
