I need a new badge

Hey guys

The badge on my bonnet is starting to flake & it looks rather crap, to say the least. BMW said a badge cost R500, I think thats daylight robbery.

Anybody have one (I'll obviously pay), or know where I can get one cheaper?

How difficult is it to install it?

hey.if you want original then thee shall have to either go to scrapyards(they are all fcked) or the agents.

if your not too worried about originality try speed world.they should have that size bubble sticker,if not,let them make you one dude

Well, I'm not set on original parts, as long as these "fakes" don't look kak or fade very time soon.

I see Turner Motorsport got a massive price decrease on their badges, might look into that.

My badges are both ruined, but BMW Helderberg (Somerset) wanted R680 the last time I asked. I've decided that I'll live with my badges as the chances are good someone might steel my brand new badges because they are so valuable these days. If you want a badge that will last then OEM is really the only way to go. New badges will last for years, so it's not like you'll have to spend R500 every year or so.

If you do find good aftermarket badges, then please let us know.

Let us know what he wants for one please, would be greatly appreciated.

I just need to figure out how to fit it :(

iam going to see him tomorrow , ill find out for you .

1. get a BLUNT knife (butter knife).
2. wrap the blade in masking tape. (as not to scratch your car).
3. get a kitchen towel (cloth) , put it between the knife and the body of the car.
4. put the knife between the badge and body of the car.
5. SLOWLY pry the badge out.

Here it is: my two cents

I had the same problem - I paid R120 incl postage on Ebay! Yes R120 brand new, suck on that dealership ripoff artists. Then after you make the purchase, take the credit card that you used, and use that to slide under the old badge to dislodge it. No fear of scratches. Then take a screwdriver between the card and the badge, let the card take the heat and there you go! Man I wish I could say this was my idea....ebay was.....the fitment idea belongs to someone else.

Ta Daaaah!

Oh, by the way, as for Ebay, expect to pay a little bit more than R120 for the badge (I Got very lucky after looking for a while) AND make sure that it is not plastic. Ask the seller what it is made of.

If you are shopping on Ebay for the badges, don't buy from the yanks (Ebay.com), you'll pay too much. Go ebay.co.uk
