I have taken the plunge, finally

After months of uncertainty and reviewing options my heart has won the battle and I have signed up for an X3 35i.:joy:

I have had so many options that I considered but none of them felt right.
I then waited for the Evoque to be launched and must admit I was tempted because of the looks and the interior and the features list. But then I drove it and don't get me wrong it's is fantastic, but a bit underpowered in my opinion especially when you have driven the 35i.

The power and practicality of the X just made sense to me somehow.
The only concern on my side is the price but when comparing to what else available and the prices associated it was clear I had no alternative choice.

So pretty happy with the decision. Let's see if it all works out!

Thanks guys
It arrives over the weekend and I can apparently take delivery next week.

Mr Twinz is a budding presenter for the Top Gear SA edition, not sure I can fill those shoes :=):

I dont want to make that choice to be honest. I fiddled with a clients red Evoque today with all the optional extras and man oh man its sexy! I never thought id feel this way about a landrover! i couldnt stop staring! I tought to myself if it looks like this who cares how it drives, but im sure once you experience the power its a different story....

congrats on the new ride!:bravo:

It has arrived
Have not had time for a photoshoot yet (so dont shoot me for the pics yet:=):
All i can say is i have no regrets - it is an amazing vehicle
Power delivery is effortless and smooth and it is there in abundance.

Have not had much time to drive it yet so will give more feedback a little later.

I am itching for a road trip now:biglol:

So finally got to load some pictures and to take a lekker drive to Ceres with the car.
It is an amazing piece of machinery but word of warning, it is heavy on juice.
The turbo power really makes this car lively and responsive especially when you put it in sport mode and put the gearbox also in sport mode.
On the long road it was stable, it was easy to overtake, nice on the twisties (roadholding is excellent for such a big car, not much body roll at all), awesome on the straights and so comfortable.

I find that the boot space is really not that big though and need to really plan how to get everything in. In my car, I just throw everything in and there is still space left. This obviously has the benefit of height in the boot though.

I do not regret my purchase at all in fact I am loving this car so much the wife is complaining already she can see I did not buy it for her:biglol:

Looks great

I never used to be a fan of the X cars but the news ones are a big step up.
