I did it again . . .

So I went and done it any way.

After I sold my previous Cooper S I was never happy. Even the M-Sport wagon couldn't cheer me up so I did it again.

I got myself a 2005 Cooper S with a dealer fitted JCW kit. And its fun! Goes like a very small train and who ever bought it first ticked all the right boxes.

NO sunroof so less weight, PDC at the rear, Chrono pack so now on the track I can keep an eye on oil temps, MFSW so I have cruise control and obviously the JCW upgrade so I have somewhere between 150 - 155 kw.

Only one or two trim pieces need attention but its mostly there.

And as a fellow Fanatic will agree on goes like it should and puts a smile on your face.

And ad a bonus the kids fit in the back so my wife doesn't care.

Congrats Willy - you just couldn't resist

How does it feel compared to your ex modded cooper s?

Did you drive thru the Karoo or something :fencelook:

Well compared to my modded ex, it does feel a bit stronger at top end, I feel it is lacking a bit of the early torque associated with the 17% pulley, but that will be fixed as soon as I start with this one.

Suspension wise this has the Sport + suspension from the factory so it is fairly good. If anything IF I add springs it would be for looks more than handling. That said I would probably do a front and rear brace and maybe a lower chassis brace as well and a set of sway bars before I touch the springs.

AS for the karoo thing, that is how they clean cars these days before selling them apparently, haven't gotten in everywhere yet to clean it. So I still need to clean the lower grill and lower lip.

So

Is somebody stripping a R56 Cooper S?

I need moar brakes.

You use a Nissan X-trail as a track car :rollsmile:

You will be amazed at its cornering ability, and how well matched the auto box and the diesel motor is. The speed out of the corners is quite something.

:crazylaugh:

No that is Mnr Vaders family car.
