So I was just wondering... My BMW is due for a service and I just want to compare prices. I haven't bought any parts yet, but I would geuss I spend about R560 +- for the following:

6 Spark Plugs
Oil Filter
Air Filter
Oil x2 (Damn the car loves the Oil)

and also not forgetting that I must soon change my brake disk pads as well which will cost me R170 about (Hopefully my prices is correct)

But I will keep you posted on how much I got for the parts.

8spark plugs, about 1K ? can't remember how much I paid for them, I remember it being close to something ridiculous
10litres of 5W30 SLX, about between 700 and 800 bucks
oil filter, R150-R200 ? can't remember
air filter, R120
car doesn't always get new plugs.. I use the Bosch Platinum quad tips. they last like forever.

thats generaly it.

only the best parts will do..

I have found that the E36 & E46 air filters are cheaper from the dealers than the local motor spares place by me. and the dealer is like 1KM from me and the parts place is 6km. so dealer wins with air filter. have not checked out other stuff. Want to service my car january next year. so this is a good thread to follow
