How low?

Morning all

I managed to acquire a set of OEM 437M wheels for my F30
I don't want to fit them yet as I think it will look odd without a small drop.

I cant decide if I want a 20mm or 40mm drop. I would want a 40mm because I would like it as low as possible but don't know if I'm shooting myself in the foot with this being my 105kms daily. I also have a front spoiler so don't want to be breaking that monthly.

For those that lowered their F30, what drop have you done and pics if you don't mind?
I know the lower you go the harder it gets but i have a Velociti on air so the F30 will still feel like a luxury car however is there also a big difference in ride quality and compared to the normal Msport suspension?

i assume the offsets on OEM M wheels is a lot more aggressive then a normal F30.
The rears will be tricky to tuck with to much of a drop.

Id fit them as is and the reassess the space/clearance you need.

Have a look at my 330d Thread...788m wheels are the same specs as 437m

definitely needs some low, doesnt look too bad at msport ride height though.

Currently contemplating between H&R sport (doesnt close the wheel gap at the front) or Eibach springs (slightly higher than H&R supersport).

Keen to see pics of what others have done. (y)

Right now I'm on stock m sport suspension with 19" rims and the M perf style front lip...and some speed bumps, driveways, estate security entrances and parking lots are a problem as is. I'd really like to drop mine to close the front wheel hap but driving would become silly. If I had to drop it to close the gap I think pretty much every speed bump would be an issue straight on.

Mine is exactly the same but I'm used to dropped cars by now. I just don't want to drop it too less and then its unnoticeable.

I decided to go with the 40mm so will try to get them and probably fit this weekend or next week

Ok so plans have changed. The sportline kit is more for track use and not daily driving. The pro kit is 25mm and to me isn't that much of a difference from looking at some pics online so checking out what other options are there now

This is my F30 that had H&R sport springs with OEM customised 18" wheels and standard spec tyres.

Please mention Brand of springs ? I assume you referring to Eibach?

also is your f30 a 4cyl or 6cyl - iirc Eibach doesnt make a sportline kit (red springs) for the 6cyl models

Yes Eibach
i have a 4 cyl

H&R have these options
Sport springs 30mm
Low spring (supersport) 40mm

They a bit more expensive than the Eibachs in terms of cost

I have fitted H&R to a few cars, and the end result is always just right... There are obviously factors to consider like your general driving conditions etc.

So I ended up getting the H&R Supersport (Low). It was the lowest spring I could find before going the coilover route which I really didn't want to.

Vagcafe always give me exceptional service when ordering anything so I will get them tomorrow and hopefully get a chance to install on Saturday

Can you give any indication what the springs cost? supersport vs sport?
