Soz about quality sun was creeping over the dash and taken from my passenger seat... I could never drive this slow though, but the N47 is one frugal engine!! Eco PRO and on cruise control..

I can only dream of fuel comsumpsion like that. I see on Rooi Willie's pic, his E90 show km/l, how do you adjust that, as mine just show l/100km? Would like to have mine km/l.

Sent from my bed on a Sunday

Stood up in front of the TV, into the garage, with the owners manual in front of me, got the thing to km/l. So if everything else fail, read the &^¥ manual lolol

Just completed a 565km trip in one go and the gauge is showing 3.4l/100km.
2003 320d with cruze control at 124km/h on the gps in 6th gear.
Will post some blurry pics if required, but the THEORETICAL mileage that I could have gotten from the tank came to 1800km.
This is calc'd by taking the physical distance travelled since fill-up and adding it to the OBC calculated distance left on the OBC.

Ok on my car I managed to get 3.8 l/100km and did 309km and still have 3/4 tank left... From a manual petrol engine lol

Just filled up, did the calc and came to a cool round 20km/liter. Big 5.0l/100km...

That give me R340 for the 590km I travelled since the previous fillup. 57,6cents per kilometer. I can live with that.

I find the OBC reading to be inaccurate. :thumbdo:

The only way to be 100% accurate is to calculate your consumption when you visit the petrol station to fill up.

I got OBC readings of 5l per 100km with my last tank, upon filling up I calculated that it's actually closer to 6.

This is true, one thing with my Golf atleast is that if the car is switched off for a couple of hours the OBC reading resets itself so I never really get an accurate reading for an entire tank unless I'm doing long distance...
