How low can you go?

I have a video of Jezebel doing 1.4l per 100km... Will find it and post it up...

ok, I cant find the video. But basically it was when Jezebel was being towed.

Would keep the power on to keep the brake hydrolics on... so the fuel consumption just updated over the trip and went all the way down to 1l per 100km. Was really funny.

Anyway, the lowest I got was 5l per 100km on Jezebel whilst driving on the highway with cruise control set to 100kph.

Standing at 10.9l/100 at the moment, and this is ONLY city driving, about 8km to work, and back, and some shopping driving.

If I drive responsibly, I can get it to 8.5-9l/100 in town, but the problem is I LOVE the sound and the feel of the straight 6, so that normally never lasts. :fencelook:

I was standing on 13.7l/100 last week, but I was really driving hard, and at one stage was at 16.2l/100 :dropjaw:

Best ever on highway, going to White River, was 6.2l/100, at 125km/h, including 3 tollgates, a sporty pass with lekker bends, and 2 stops for the to pee and snack.

PS: I zero my trip computer every time I fill up, so the 16.2l/100 was pretty much right after I filled up, and floored it a bit.

But on a serious note, those are impressive numbers
Makes some current hybrid cars like the Prius completely redundant.

If I drove my E90 325i like a hooligan it would go up to 14.2 L/100km :flyfun:

They should include the service costs for the diesels next to that consumption figure:fencelook:

My 330 gave me 11.5 km/l when i filled it up yesterday
My OBC reading has never been accurate in any of my BMW's
