Okay guys... I spent the last 20 minutes reading through the thread looking at everyone's ideas and I came to conclusion. Majority is up for a braai but was arguing about location location location. Meeting at a restaurant is not exactly ideal in my personal opinion. So we end up with ideas that are already planned ;) So, here is my proposition.

Most of us can meet up in the east rand in a car park or something as I assume allot of us live in that general area. Then we take a drive to Fort Klapperkop. It's more or less a 50km drive on the R21. Those that live in Pretoria can drive up and down if they feel like the drive or just meet us there. Here is a link

They accommodate the whole picnic and braai scene. So those not into the braai can do a picnic.

What do you think?

well took a trip up to polokwane,we went from our house out to a friends house there and covered 289km one way.

according to the gps,3hours and 39min

climbed onto the highway and set the cruise control on 127km/h and did it in 3hours and fiften mins.
roads were very busy, lots of buses and trucks, and stoodin long quese at the toll gantries.

but it was alright, dont know how some guys do it ih 2h30min?

maybe we should plan a run up there?

Used to live in Polokwane for 5 years. Always drove it in 2h30, but roads are much busier these days...
