Hi Guys...
New to the forum and in need of some E46 320D pre-facelift tips and suggestions.
I have a E46 320D pre-facelift (M47) that unfortunately drowned 2 months ago, i was driving slowly through some deepish water and some oke with his bakkie came past and splashed a wave over the bonnet and the motor sucked it all up like it was really thirsty. i took the car to some guy who told me it would be between R35000 to R40000 to fix... but that was only an estimate as he didn't open the engine at all, i then stuck him up and took the car home. I then proceeded in removing the covers, intake, glowplugs, radiator and intercooler. Dried everything up and then tried to turn the motor over with a torque wrench but it was stuck badly. Now my actual question is...
Will a facelift engine work with my pre-facelift computer and wiring as i now need to get a new engine? :blueCry:
