Lol, yes it is dust, and I'm not happy about it, but we are in a water crisis and preserving water for human consumption is most important.

Fair enough :)

I must be a douche I have washed my every weekend :fencelook:

Nice Herman the wheels looks great, silver would not have worked.

I hope you employed a economical method.

I'll give it a wash after the oil service... or before a breakfast run :tiptoe:

I'll probably never get use to getting a car up on Jack stands, lucky I was in the presence of a expect :=):

ATF was run for about 150km, drained that oil mix, ran it for a while on 20W-50 which drained pretty clean... and then the lifeblood 10W-60 GT1 with Ceratec.

Now that the lube is sorted out, I can turn my attention to turning the car back to stock.

Big thanks to uncle Peter :coolShake:

For sure, and I'll have to keep this one for a little while as I read the plate as "For Your 40FH".... small jokes

It's been a while, and the "return to stock" project has begun as I have other ideas, again :hammerhead:

I'll post some pics soon, but the discovery of some really questionable workmanship has affected progress, unfortunately the risk of buying a secondhand car. Luckily relatively easy fixes so far.

Guys at BMW parts know me by name now, which means I don't have to ask for discount anymore :coolShake:

Test fitting OEM discs to make sure all is mooi, did not take a pic with the OEM caliper in place, :hammerhead:, but to be removed again for rust removal.

The VARI equipment will be properly cleaned and sold once I'm done.

Part of this procedure is to remove BC coil overs and replacing them with the OEM shocks, no pics of that just yet.

Currently waiting on some screws, bolts and anti roll bar links... O' only OEM being used here.

Operation Standard has commenced... Nicely done Mr.

still so shocked by the size of those VARI's... WTF!!

Maybe Dean will be interested in them, he has one of the faster Z4MC's around and maybe will need more stopping power :=):

Absolute beast of a car! Love it.

Any engine mods?

Stock standard apart form the brakes, coil overs and front bumper work, the aim was not power and performance, but rather cosmetic.

I see you had the steering wheel redyed - looks like it sorted that out really nicely, how much did that cost? I saw another guy had his Z4M steering recovered (cost 1200 iirc) but mine is in slightly better nick than yours was, so I'd hope the dyeing that sorted yours can do mine also (and anyone have any places in CT that could do this?)

Not sure how much it would cost for the steering wheel only, but it's not mega expensive, I had the full interior cleaned, conditioned, and both the gear knob and steering sorted, don't think that was more then R2,500.

Where did you get your interior done Herman?

My steering wheel could also do with a little refreshing... it's got the "previous young lady owner must have had some hectic hand cream that faded the shit out of it" look going...

:smashScreen:

Thanks,

Pete

This is the end of my Z4M Coupe story.

This car was returned back to stock, and sold to a young professional, who I have no doubt, will look after it with a great deal of passion.
