Help. What shocks to get..

Howzit guys. My rear shocks are shot on my e46 2004 M3 vert, so went to the agents this morning. They say 3-4weeks lead time as they order from Germany.

Are there any brands like Koni etc that are local that I can try?

I dont want to drive the car with no fully working shocks on the rear in fear of the dreaded subframe issues.

Koni would be the better option for the M3 as they seem to be more responsive.....just my 2c worth

Yes got the Koni Sports.

Drove down to Boksburg on Friday and picked up the Shocks from Steve. Very nice guy.

Fitted em on Saturday morning.

In the car, almost. These shocks are adjustable and I set them to super soft as I don't track the car.

Both shock mounts were shot to death and needed replacing.

Overall I'm very happy. I got an opportunity to go under the car and I didn't spot any cracks on the frame. All the little rattles I could hear are gone and the ride is now super smooth. It feels like a new car all over again.

Thanks moranor
