the mods are fine .
you cannot hold the car for investigation for a case that was closed . it has to be released or go report a case of theft by the police officer . in this case seems like they not happy withe the outcome of case and want to dig up more and then try to re open case . it should work as re open case and then investigate. mostly likely it wont be re opened as judges dont like to hear much about re opened cases accept in a case of murder etc .

and yes parts and alot more go missing from the pound and strange how they cant answer for it .

Go to the clerk of court and get a letter /order of the outcome of your case . car should be released .

they must re open and get an order to investigate this car for the same case .

they just playing bully here .

what method have they used to inspect car ?

Was the licence disc pulled away ?

further if the case was thrown out of court , then wont a magistrate issue a order for the sheriff to collect car and take to police station for inspection .

sounds very dodgy if this car is under inspection for a case closed . ie thrown out of court for insufficient evidence im suspecting .

if case re open , verify with the court with case no.
Just got back from anti collision dep they are holding the cars till tuesday they want to speak to the arresting officer and then do the inspection so they can get the case back on the court roll . They want to teach us a lesson those were his words and I was not even driving recklessly I stoped and gave the police way the disc are still on the cars but they want to suspend the car

I would think they doing the test to confirm if the car is street legal or not. I assume most normal mods are fine and the cars are still street legal, just with a lot more power. If you added mods that make the car non-street legal, then I guess you have some issues.
How do we know the difference of what mods are allowed and what are not

:eek:mgwaiting: so they decided to pull you over because of someone else and take you to court and to impound your car at the same time...... this will be a first I have ever heard of such a thing. If they have then your lawyer should be sitting there rubbing his hands in glee as he will be making so much money for you and him on this case, and you should not be panicking like this, or am I missing something.
You must also have a charge sheet drawn up against you for what may I ask "BYSTANDER" ? as you mention there should be nothing else on that list, then they dont stand a chance in court or have reason to take your car at all. :dunnoanymore: What has the police society come to? arresting innocent people. If I where you I would take this to all the media and make it very public. :fencelook:

Apart from the actual roadworthy checks, The mods they can use to say your car is unroadworthy here are tyres and if they really get anal, exhaust noise. Exhaust noise "law" is 89dBA for power unit under 150kw and 91dBA for any other vehicle. However unless you are spinning in a neighborhood or next to a hospital from midnight to morning, nobody usually cares about this. No way they will detect a tune IMHO.

Even with semi slicks on my S2000 and STI, both with absurd exhausts and the latter not having seats/smelling like eth etc nobody gave me kak even when stopped.

Interested to see the outcome of this.

That has nothing to do with your car.

Something does not add up here.

It's the way it is unfortunately.
I got pulled over going in the opposite direction to a racing scene, driving probably 30km/h. Got pulled over and arrested on the spot.
Once I was release, I called about 4 lawyers, each recommended by someone and none of them wanted to take the case. Simply said its not worth it as this happens all the time.
